Kim And Kanye Are Getting Matching Tattoos?

All aboard the bad idea express! It looks like new couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are already thinking about getting tattoos to honor one another…wow, that’s a terrible idea. Kim, who appears to not be very good at marriage (it seems like her marriage to Kris Humphries was more for ratings on Keeping Up With The Kardashians than it was for love), and West have only been together for a little while, but the two have quickly become inseparable. You know what other couple is inseparable? All of them for the first two months! They definitely should not be thinking of getting ink for each other; if every couple that was really into each other eight weeks in got tattooed; we’d all have ink. Rumor has it that Kanye is considering getting a “K” to represent their shared initial, while Kim wants a “KW” to be specific for the Watch The Thrown collaborator. Hmmmm, Kanye looks like he’s covering his bases, but Kim really looks like she’s about to do something dumb; we can’t see this going well folks, but we’ll let you know how it turns out.

Petunia: A Tattoo That’s A Celebrity

There are many celebrity tattoos in this world, but there are very few tattoos that we consider to be celebrities on their own. One such tattoo was located on the right forearm of Little Pete Wrigley from The Adventures of Pete and Pete, a 1990s Nickelodeon show that provided our staff with hours of entertainment. That tattoo has a name, and that name is Petunia! The only tattoo in television history to get its own credit in a show’s opening sequence, Petunia was a lady in a red dress who Little Pete made dance with a simple shake of his arm. She was rhythmic, she was beautiful, and her existence was so surreal that it launched the minds of a thousand idiots like ourselves. Why was it so surreal? Because Little Pete was about eleven years old, and kids with mildly sexual tattoos are awesome. We love Petunia, and we love Pete; they’re both Hall of Famers in our book.

Frank Mir’s Tattoos

A multiple-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) World Heavyweight Champion, Frank Mir has a pretty huge canvas to get tattooed on, and he’s slowly doing his best to use all the space that his body provides. Early in his career, Mir sported his name on his right arm and “Two Bodies Many Minds One Spirit” across his stomach. He later went on to get Asian characters on the back of his arms (which he later surrounded in a flame design), but we’re not totally sure what they mean (rumor has it that one or both of them mean “one with endless energy and stamina” or a similar translation). Finally, he got the hug piece on his back that includes his name, a Kanji symbol, and what appears to be dueling samurai. All of his ink is well done, and other than his over-usage of his own name, they’re all pretty cool, especially the intricate back piece. Mir seems like he’s fully addicted to ink, and he makes the big bucks in the UFC, so look for him to get more work in the future.

Lea Michele: “I’m Done Getting Tattooed”

Lea Michele is calling it quits…from getting tattooed, not acting or singing or whatever it those crazy kids do on Glee. The singing, dancing star of the popular show has been featured on this site before, as we reported that she has at least nine tattoos spread across her body. Well it turns out that she actually has fourteen small tattoos inked in all of her “hidden spots”, and now that she’s run out of hidden spots, she’s done getting work done. At least that’s what she said in an interview on The Late Show with David Letterman. In the same interview, she discussed how getting tattooed is a “family activity” and how she’s ended up with a lot of her ink after long nights of family bonding. In our opinion, this has led to her having some poorly done, but very sentimental ink. If a tattoo truly means something, it’s actually allowed to suck, so Lea Michele is alright in our book. However, we really don’t believe her that she’s done getting tattoos; no one is ever done getting tattoos, they just haven’t thought of what to get next yet.

Sean Penn’s Mysterious Tattoos

Sean Penn has always had a strange air of mystery about him; like a muscular, quiet, actor-wizard who just goes around winning Academy Awards and liberating Haiti (we think that’s what he did, we don’t really like to do “research” in the traditional sense). Part of that mystery are the meanings of his tattoos, and even exactly what his tattoos are. We know that the Milk and Gangster Squad star has a kanji on his left arm that means both “sword” and “power”, and we know that he has some kind of demon-thing on one of his forearms. However, we have no idea what else he has; so if there’s any major Sean Penn enthusiasts out there, lend us a hand and give us the scoop. What we do know though, is that he’s probably not done getting ink, as the Tree of Life actor continues to hold onto his youthful ways even as he enters his fifties.

Hilary Duff’s Tattoos

Hilary Duff rose to fame when she was a kid as the star of Lizzie McGuire, but like all child stars, she has tried her best to break the mold of child-actor by doing grown-up things. One of those “grown up things” is getting some tattoos…but grown-up ones…not like Hello Kittys and whatnot. The She Wants Me star has “Let it Be” inked on her ankle, an anchor on her left ankle, and “shine” on her finger, and “ma petite amie ” in script on her right side/rib area. Her tattoos aren’t particularly impressive, but they’re also not particularly bad; they’re just kind of there. Now that she’s a mom, we expect Hilary to get at least one more spot of ink in honor of her child, but nothing major as she’s just not a big-tattoo type of girl. She also might get something done in honor of her husband, NHL star Mike Comrie, but again, it won’t be anything too big or attention grabbing.

Bad Fan Tattoo Of The Day :The ESPN Guy

What. Is. He. Thinking? Yes folks, that’s a real tattoo of the ESPN logo on someone’s face. Hoping it would get him enough attention that he’d make it on to ESPN’s Sportscenter, this severely mislead young man decided that he would get the network tattooed on the side of his face above his eyebrow. This is easily one of the worst ideas in the history of bad ideas. It’s a corporate logo for a corporation that he doesn’t work for that covers sports and he’s not an athlete. We could understand if an up and coming NFL player got ESPN inked on him as a reminder to his opponents that he will make highlights out them, but this is just a normal guy who now will conjure images of Chris Berman wherever he goes. We’d love to support this kind of stupidity, but we can’t think a reason why we would. You’ve failed my friend, no top ten plays, no WebGem, no Espy, just a stupid tattoo.

Nadya “Octomom” Suleman’s Tattoo

In case you didn’t already know, “Octomom” Nadya Suleman is basically the worst. She has had fourteen children in total (eight at once), all via in-vitro fertilization, and all while she was unemployed and living off the government. She sucks, and so does her tattoo. She has some kind of weird angel thingy that looks like it was drawn by a blind seven year old inked on her back. Seriously, it looks like something you’d find on the back of little kid’s notebook. We’re a pretty objective group here at Celebrity Tattoo Design, so if her ink didn’t stink we’d have to admit it, but wow is it horrible. It is however fitting that one of the worst things to come out of the wierd state of celebrity we currently live in also has one of the worst tattoos we’ve ever seen.

Amanda Seyfried’s Foot Tattoo Is Inapropriate, Also Awesome

It’s official, Les Miserables’ Amanda Seyfried is our favorite person in the entire world; that’s counting our mothers and former NBA great John Stockton, and we really love John Stockton. The Lovelace star got a very…ummmm…”in character” tattoo on her foot that says “Minge”, which is a slang term for lady parts. The ink was inspired by her Mamma Mia! co-star Colin Firth, who apparently used to say it all the time on set…while the filmed a musical based on ABBA songs; how’s that for out of place? It’s a bit crass, but we’re really impressed with the guts that it took for a popular young actress to get a vagina-themed tattoo. She also doesn’t hide it, which makes it even more impressive. On a side note, when we first heard that she has a vagina-themed tattoo, we made some pretty gross assumptions; needless to say, we’re happy that we were wrong, if just for the sake of our ability to post pictures.

Vanessa Hudgens’ Neck Tattoo

Vanessa Hudgens has a neck tattoo!? We don’t really know enough about the teen-celebrity scene to have a real idea of how surprising this revelation should be. However, the fact that someone who gained their fame from staring in the High School Musical series has a big tattoo of a purple and green butterfly on their neck is a bit on the strange side. The Spring Breakers star got the ink because her name derives from the Latin word for butterfly, and probably got it in such a major area in order to break away from her teen-queen image. The actress and singer also has an “Ohm” inked on her hands, which she got during a trip to the tattoo parlor with her buddy Ashley Tisdale. We respect her for getting inked at the risk of losing her career (or at least significantly altering its trajectory), but we really don’t like her tattoos; they kind of reek of trying too hard.
