We don’t like it. Before you even ask, let it be known that unless it has some hugely important significance to the owner, we never like tattoos like this. We’re talking about Penn Badgely’s feather tattoo that he has on his calf. Something about the tattoo is just too lazy for our tastes. It’s not ornate, it’s not different, it doesn’t stand out at all; it just looks like something that he picked off the shop wall. Badgely is a bit of a huge hipster in real life, so we assumed that he’s have something different, or at least well done, but instead he has that…thing. Call up Gossip Girl because rumored has it that Penn didn’t think his tattoo all the way through.

Superfan Gets Tooth Tattoo – Can’t Decide Between Saving Wife or Shortstop
This is just ridiculous. Look, we respect the concept of loving a team so much that you get their logo tattooed on yourself; we dont’t neccesarily agree with it, but we get it. However, this dude having a New York Yankees’ logo inked on his tooth is both ridiculous and mildy insane. In his defense, the idea wasn’t his; he was under anesthetic when his dentist buddy decided to give him the gift of tooth-tat. However, he didn’t immediatedly slap the snot out of his boy, and instead thanked him and claims that he loves the tooth-ink. We’re really not sold on this guy, it just seems like a dumb place to get tattooed, and there’s no way that it’s going to hold in the long term. Whatever, to each his own.
Rueben Foster Announces Commitment to Auburn With Ink
Talk about commitment! While most NCAA Division One football recruits show their support for their soon-to-be teams by doning a hat or a sweater, Rueben Foster is showing that he’s will to make a lifetime commitment to Auburn University. The top rated highschool linebacker in the nation, Foster recently announced his intent to attend the storied football school. And showed his dedication by getting the Auburn logo tattooed on his forearm…really big. The tattoo covers most of his gigantic forearm and shows that Foster wants nothing more than to play for his favorite college. Is it the best idea? Not really, but we kind of like it. It shows a love of the team’s tradtion, and a dedication the the squad over himself that we hope translates into a productive collegiate career and eventually some cash in the National Football League. So give ‘em hell Rueben, we’re rooting for you!
Miley Cyrus Has a New Tattoo
At this point, it should come as no surprise to any of you that Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has a new tattoo; afterall, she has a few already. What is kind of surprising though, is how meaningful her new ink is. The recently engaged pop star’s newest tattoo is on her left forearm, and features a quote from popular United States President Theodore Roosevelt (he’s the one with the mustache, not the one with polio), and it’s a good one. The quote reads “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.” If we remember our history, the full passage that the tat was taken from is about putting oneself out there and trying to succeed. We’d love to give her guff about the new piece, but we’re Amurikans! How could we not support a young lady getting the words of one of our most awesome of presidents etched on her skin? Good job Miley!
Chris Brown’s Crazy New Ink
Chris Brown already has a bunch of tattoos, but much like assault charges, he’s still find room for more. The “Look At Me Now” and “Beautiful People” artist/girl punch/Drake fighter recently got two new tattoos in a ten day span, and both of them are a bit ridiculous. First up, he went and got his neck inked; it’s a nicely done tattoo, but we’re not really sure we get it, seeing as “it” is “an Indian Cheif tranforming into a wolf”. Is it supposed to be a representation of the two sides of his personality? Well then the wolf almost makes sense (we would’ve gone with hyenna), but that would mean that the other side of Chris is…in charge of a tribe? Wise? Owner of a casino? It’s really a mixed message. The other new tattoo, which appears to be on his back or forearm is a little more straight forward, but just as dumb; it’s Brown himself wearing a painter’s mask. It’s called “The Bandit” and represents his new love of art. Whatever man, way to put yourself on yourself un-ironically… what a nerd.
Russel Brand’s Arm Candy
We don’t really like Russell Brand around these parts; he’s a bit annoying and his hair reminds us of our weird Aunt Yaya, and she was really mean to us when we were kids (yes…we’re all related, don’t question it). However, we respect how meaningful his new tattoos are. The devote Yoga practitioner recently stepped out with his instructor to do some charity work (another respectable thing…we still don’t like him, but we’d probably have to shake his hand if we met him), and was rocking a sleaveless t-shirt that showed off his new ink. The tattoos, which he’s believed to have gotten a couple of months ago, are of the seven chakras of Hindu and Buddhist yoga and tantra traditions. The tattoos are in Sankrit and chakras are the seven energy centers that it’s believed the body houses. Brand has become very spiritual in recent years, and regularly practices yoga; despite his close relationship with his instructor, he doesn’t take private lessons and prefers instead to practice in a public class setting.
More Ink for JWOWW
Alright folks, so this isn’t the first time we’ve told you about a member of the Jersey Shore cast getting inked, but it’s the first time we’ve told you about JWoww getting tattoos…since the last time we told you about JWoww getting tattoos. Either way, adding to the collection of ink that we’ve already told you about, the Jersey girl has two new big pieces on her body. First she got the one on her right shoulder while she was in Italy; it’s a tribute to her grandma. It’s a nice tribute piece that features praying hands and a cross, as well as the words “RIP” and “OMA” (that’s what she called her grandma). After that came her most recent work, a huge tiger on her right hip that’s meant to act as the second half of a yin-yang/good-evil symbol; the first half being the big dragon she has on her ribs. This piece is also well done, and sits well on her body. JWoww is pretty heavily inked at this point, but all of her work is well placed and all of it looks great on her. We don’t see her getting too much more done, as she’s running out of prime real estate and doesn’t seem like she wants to move onto her arms.
Former “Teen Mom” Star Gets Inked
We’re not completly sure if we’re ready to refer to one of the stars of Teen Mom 2 (she wasn’t even on the original cast! She saw how stupid the show and it’s cast were…and still got pregnant and went on the show!) as a celebrity, but one of them got a new tattoo, so let’s talk about it. Kailyn Lowry says that the back piece isn’t finished yet, but it’s already pretty friggin’ extensive. The piece, which is seven sessions deep already, has a caption that reads “to the world you are one person, but to one person you are the world” and features flowers, trees, and rolling hills. It’s aparently going to be some kind of big landscape piece, but we’re not sure if she’s going to extend it into her mid-back more and add a ton of design, or if she’s just going to build on the outline design that she’s got going. She should probably keep it as the outline she has now, because her lack of tattoage elsewhere would make a full back piece look a bit out of place. We’d like to give her more guff about the ink, but it’s not bad work and the message is really nice, so we’ll let her slide. We will however give her guff about being a teen mom; thanks for the new drain on the economy Kailyn, we really needed another one.
David Arquette’s New Wonder Woman Tattoo
That is one big rib tattoo! Good job David Arquette; way to go all-in on that bad boy! The Scream 4 star recently made an appearance on Bethenny Frankel’s talk show and showed off his newest and largest piece of ink. The self-proclaimed ‘big kid’ readily revealed his big Wonder Woman comic book panel, which features the female super-heroin making a declaration that says, ”It takes real character to admit one’s failures – and not a little wisdom to take your profits from defeat, but remember, this man’s world of yours will never be without pain and suffering until it learns love, and respect for human rights. Keep your hands extended to all in friendliness but never holding the gun of persecution and intolerance!”. It’s a really nicely done piece, and the inspirational message in it, while a bit heavy-handed, is really nice too. We’re pretty impressed with this ink overall, although we’re thinking that if he went for such a big comic-related piece, he maybe should’ve gotten some color.
