Miley Cyrus Has a New Tattoo

At this point, it should come as no surprise to any of you that Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has a new tattoo; afterall, she has a few already. What is kind of surprising though, is how meaningful her new ink is. The recently engaged pop star’s newest tattoo is on her left forearm, and features a quote from popular United States President Theodore Roosevelt (he’s the one with the mustache, not the one with polio), and it’s a good one. The quote reads “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.” If we remember our history, the full passage that the tat was taken from is about putting oneself out there and trying to succeed. We’d love to give her guff about the new piece, but we’re Amurikans! How could we not support a young lady getting the words of one of our most awesome of presidents etched on her skin? Good job Miley!

Selena Gomez Gets Tattoo…We Think

Okay, so Selena Gomez says that she got a tattoo, there’s pictures of her in the tattoo shop with a famous tattoo artist, but ummmm…that looks a lot more like a piece of glitter or some confetti. We’re going to give her the benefit of the doubt because we don’t really care to look into it and because she seems like an okay girl; we’re going to say that it’s ink and not party decoration. Wizards of Waverly Place star and Justin Bieber’s girlfriend now has a tiny music note design on her right wrist that must’ve taken approximately 5 minutes to get done and couldn’t have cost her more than fifty bucks. She said that it represents her love of music. We guess it’s cute, but in more of a little kid wearing her mother’s shoes and jewelry way than in a aesthetically pleasing way.

The title of this article pretty much sums up what we knew about Sarah Harding before we found out that the recently got a new back tattoo, but once we started to look into the former Girls Aloud group member, we quickly realized that our UK readers absolutely love her! The reality contested turned-bonafide pop-star has a had a ton of hits, and has used the proceeds from them to get a few tattoos, most recently one on her back that says “Don’t be Bitter- Glitter”. She got in the wake of an abuse scandal between her and her former boyfriend; we’re assuming that it’s meant to be inspirational. She also has a small star on the side of her neck (behind her ear), and some Tibetan script on her forearm. She also used to have a small tattoo on her shoulder blade that she recently got removed via laser-surgery. She wears all of her tattoos well, and they fit in well with her glamorous bad girl image.

Kirstie Alley has had a strange, but successful career; beginning with her Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning time on Cheers, heading into her “look how unhealthily fat I am and how much i yo-yo diet, doesn’t that make me interesting”, and finally bringing her to her succussful reality show phase. As part of her new and interesting life, Kirstie Alley has had some tattoo work done on her wrists. She got her first ink while she was on Dancing With the Stars, it says “Unbroken” in script on her left wrist. Her second tattoo was done during a recent appearance on Ellen, it’s a “T” and a “L” in honor of her children, True and Lillie, and she got it to celebrate her 61^st birthday. Alley is a good place in her career right now, and she’s got her weight under control, let’s hope she keeps it that way and makes tattooing her new vice.

Lindsay Lohan’s New Tattoo Is Unimpressive

Well, Lindsay Lohan is back in the news again, and as always, it’s for something underwhelming and somewhat mundane. This time, everyone’s favorite trainwreck has gone out and gotten a new tattoo on her wrist. As TMZ first reported, Lohan added to her Billy Joel inspired ink, and her generic Italian phrase piece over the weekend by getting “live without regrets” inked on her left wrist. She claims that it’s part of her expression of her current positive mindset; we think it’s just a really dumb tattoo that a party girl would get to seem less like a druken moron who makes tons of bad decisions, and more like she’s an existential genius. There haven’t been a lot of solid pictures of the new tattoo yet, but we’ll let you in on a little secret: it looks like something a meth-head would get; it’s in poorly done script and looks an awful lot like it was done with a Bic Pen and a spool of string.

Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles believes in something, what that is we don’t know but something probably, maybe Jesus, but in that case why didn’t she write “Jesus” on her wrist. Maybe she believes in herself so that is why she had that written on herself. It’s quite possible that she sings about it in her songs but we haven’t heard all her songs so we are content to guess.

The little flower she has on her hip was her entrance into the tattoo world at the age of 18. Then there is the heart with wings that we thought was fake at first because the colors are unrealish. But it seems to stay there unlike some other fake tattoos she has appeared with (see bottom pic, a joke Ronnie Dunn portrait).

Gisele Bundchen has done a lot as model; she almost single-handedly ended the “herion chic” era of ultra thin models, has made over millions and millions of dollars, and is the most prominent of all the Victoria’s Secret Angels. However, she hasn’t accomplished nearly as much in the tattoo chair; she has a few tattoos, but none of them are big enough to even qualify as “pieces” in our book. She has a little star on the inside of her wrist, a moon and stars on her ankle, and an undetermined design on her bikini line. We don’t see her getting any more ink done, as her modeling career involves a lot of her being in almost no clothing, and more ink means more make-up to cover it with, and more that just makes life harder. She’s also a mom and a wife now, two lifestyles that don’t usually lend themselves to getting a lot of inkage.

As the lead singer of ulra-popular pop/rock quintet Maroon 5, Adam Levine has won multiple Grammy Awards; hit the top of the charts with songs like “This Love”, “Harder To Breathe”, and “Wake Up Call”; and secured himself a gig as a vocal coach on the hit reality show The Voice. Adam Levine is a full fledged rock star, and part of being a rock star is getting tattoos, and Levine has done that plenty. Amongst his tattoos are a tribute to his mom on his left forearm, triple “2”s on is forearm to represent the first studio Maroon 5 recorded in, a paw print, a shark representing his nickname, “Los Angeles” on his right shoulder to represent his hometown, a guitar on his forearm, a large tiger on his forearm, the roman numeral “X” to celebrate his bands ten year anniversary, a dove and cherry blossoms in rememberance on 9/11, a a bird on his sternum (perhaps to commemorate when he broke it), and some other various designs throughout his body.

Kelly Ripa doesn’t seem like she’d have any tattoos; we can’t really put our fingers on it, but something about her wholesome, always smiling image,,just doesn’t scream “I have ink!”. Regardless though, the co-host of Live With Regis and Kelly, Live With Kelly and All My Children has two tattoos, and she doesn’t make any effort to hide either one. The first tattoo she got is on her ankle, and is a tribal design surrounding a flower. Her newest tattoo is on her wrist, and it says “Consuelos”; it’s in honor of her husband and former All My Children co-star, Mark Consuelos. With Regis’ recent retirement, we know that Kelly is looking for a new co-host, and we really hope that she takes the search as an opportunity to get in touch with her inked side and chooses someone with serious body art; we suggest she go with Henry Rollins. Think about it, they could talk tattoos, she could talk about carpet samples, and he could punch audience members in the gut while yelling about the budget crisis, it’d be the return of “must see TV”.

Naya Rivera: Santana Lopez Has A Lot Of Ink

Best known for her portrayal of ‘Santana Lopez’ (does that sound like a 1970′s television show about a Mexican private detective to anyone else?) on…(*cringes*)… Glee; Naya Rivera is also a solo artist and songwriter, and she’s also heavily tattooed (well she has a lot of tattoos, they’re all pretty small though). From what we can tell, she has a peace sign on her left ankle, the word “fighter” (not in English) on her right wrist, a shooting star on her right foot, a bow on the back of her neck, and a fairly large cross on her lower back. Judging by how many she has already, and the fact that she’s only in her twenties (still erks us that she plays a teenager though), we expect Naya Rivera to get at least a little more ink before it’s all said and done.
