Celebrities love to stick out, it’s why they go out and get famous in the first place: they have a desire to stand out in the crowd. However, for some celebrities it’s not enough to just be famous, they have to be famous and weird at the same time. That’s like trying to be the biggest elephant; you’re already bigger than the other animals, now you want to be the biggest of the big! Elephant talk aside, some celebrities like to get tattooed with some weird stuff; whether it’s because they want to be even more notable, or because they just feel like being strange. Take “Jackass” star and legendary stuntman Steve-O, who got his own autographed photo inked on his back as a stunt for one of his movies. The tattoo is actually really well done, but it’s still extremely weird and completely crazy. Tattooing a face on yourself might not be as weird as getting yourself a face tattoo though…Yup, Gucci Mane has an ice cream cone tattooed on his face in honor of his song “Icy”…that’s pretty much an act of insanity. He’s known for being a bit of a loose cannon, he’s been to jail multiple times, and a face tattoo is a classic sign of an impulsive person. He doesn’t seem to regret his facial ink though, and that’s awesome for him, because tattoos are forever, so are childhood loves of literature…Ryan Gosling (“Drive”) has the cover of the book “The Giving Tree” on his left shoulder and it’s a pretty strange tattoo with an explanation that’s…uhhhh…off. He says that he got the tattoo because his mom used to read the Shel Silverstein classic to him when he was a child, but that he thinks the book is messed up and he would never want to be the Giving Tree because the boy uses him up until he’s a stump. Speaking of “stump”, we’re stumped in regards to the reasoning behind this tattoo…Yup, that’s a really bad tattoo of Ryan Gosling’s face, and it’s on “On The Way Down” singer Ryan Cabrera’s leg. It was allegedly chosen by his friends after losing a bet, and it’s pretty terrible, and actually looks a lot more like Ryan Reynolds. Speaking of Ryan Reynolds…just kidding, he wouldn’t get a weird tattoo, but we all know that Miley Cyrus would…Okay, the tattoo is of her dog, who passed a way a while back, so we can’t argue with the sentiment, but the tattoo itself is a bit whacky looking. Maybe she could’ve just gotten a normal picture of the ole’ boy. Weird or not, we will never not like a dog-lover’s dog tribute. We don’t like ice cream lovers’ tributes though…“Stay With Me” singer Sam Smith has this ice cream cone inked on his leg, and we don’t like it…that’s really all that we have to say about that. Let’s do one more picture for a pallet cleanser…Celebrities even like to stick out when they already stick out, Lady Gaga’s showing off her unicorn tattoo in the above picture to prove it. At the end of the day we’re just having fun folks, and anything that someone, famous or not, wants to ink on their body is their business. It’s just our business to give them crap about it…especially that ice cream cone on Sam Smith, that thing really bothers us for some reason.
Celebrities love to get ink, that’s a fact, but sometimes they get it in slightly abnormal places, like Zac Efron here. The “Neighbors” star went out and got “YOLO” (You Only Live Once) tattooed on the side of his of his hand, which is a weird place for multiple reasons, not the least of which is how easy it is to wear off ink from that spot. He’s got nothing on Miley Cyrus though…The girl behind “Wrecking Ball” and the master of all that is bad twerking, the former Hannah Montana got “Rolling” and “$tone” inked on her feet. Why is this weird? Because she decided to get them put on the bottom of her hooves instead of the top…so the tattoos had zero chance of ever settling in for the long haul. Want to talk about “settling in for the long haul”? Mike Tyson knows all about that type of commitment, because he got the most committed of all tats…There it is folks, one of the most whacky of all the whacky tattoos in celebrity history. The former boxing world champion and star of “The Hangover” inked a nice looking tribal on his friggin’ eye socket a few years back because we guess he just wanted to show how committed her was to never having a desk job. Strangely enough, he actually wears the placement well. We’ll shut up about his ink choice now though, because we still fear him, and because Lily Allen says so…Lily Allen wants to us to “shhh…”, that’s why she inked it on her index finger. The ellipse at the end of it implies that she’s shushing for a really long time after the initial impact. She must really mean it, unlike K-Stew…“Twilight Saga” star Kristen Stewart got an infinity symbol inked on her wrist to represent her infinite feelings of…uhhhhh…something, but she got it so small that we doubt she really means it. Kesha means it though, just take a look.Okay so Kesha annoys us overall, but we got to respect her commitment and her message, way to show em’ who’s boss dollar sign lady! Speaking of being a boss…That’s a pretty out there tat for the “Amazing Spiderman 2” star, but he’s Jamie Foxx, he can do whatever he wants. The “Horrible Bosses 2” star has won an Academy Award and played Django, he can get as many crazy head tattoos as he wants. He’s a true king of Hollywood, so we respect his crown tattoo.Speaking of kings, Cara Delivingne has the King of the Jungle tattooed on her pointer finger, and it’s a really nice piece. Seriously, whoever did that bad boy was on point, because it looks like the lion is going to jump right off of her finger. She’s a weird girl, but she knows how to pick an artist, and she also must know how to pick her nose…in style. We’re finishing this list with Bryan Cranston, because he’s awesome. He had the logo for his all time great show “Breaking Bad” inked inside of his finger, and even though it’s a standard “I don’t want a real tattoo” tattoo, he did it to match his buddies from the show, and he placed it in a weird spot, so we’re cool with it. Is it the weirdest celebrity ink? No. Are any of these? No. But their placement is just a little bit strange to us, and we love making lists, so we hope you enjoyed it. See you next time you tattoo fiends!
Miley Cyrus, you’ve done it again! What’s the “it” in this particular case? Well it’s “got a stupid tattoo” of course! We try really hard around these parts to not bash anyone’s ink because we know what it’s like to get something done in the moment and then not be super psyched about it afterwards (case in point: one of our staffer’s “Boondock Saints” piece). We try to say that even the worst body art should represent at least a reminder to its beholder of the time in their life when they got it. However, we can’t help but think that some pieces are the result of a complete lack of logical thinking…Miley’s new foot ink is one of those pieces.
The “Rolling Stone” cover girl and “We Can’t Stop” singer wanted to do something fun with her interviewer from the popular magazine, so she took him to a tattoo parlor. She said that she initially considered taking him to play laser tag or to go bowling, but that she decided those were lame ideas…there’s nothing lame about simulated combat between friends and/or simulated combat between a man and some pieces of wood, but that’s an arguement for another day. So yeah folks, she took the guy to get inked, and while it seems that the journalist didn’t have anything done, she made the most of the oppurtunity and get some new ridiculous ink. In honor of the her first time gracing the cover of the legendary magazine, she got “Rolling $tone” inked on…the bottoom of her feet. Yeah, the bottom of her feet, the part of her body that has basically zero chance of holding ink for more than a few weeks. Unless she confines herself to a wheel chair, the tattoo is more of an art project/stunt than it is an actual permanent marking because the amount of time the average person spends on their feet will rub all of the ink out in a fairly short time. Coincidentally, her foot piece might not be the only tat that she loses in the next few months, as rumors have been swirling that she’s going to have the “matching” ink that she got with her ex love Liam Hemsworth removed. The Teddy Roosevelt quote that they had split across their respective arms in 2012 might be getting lasered or covered by something else in the near future. If she gets it covered than it will be a little messy because the current piece is a little spread out, so we assume that she’ll go laser or possibly just add his half somewhere on her body and make the piece her own. Whatever she decides, we’ll keep you posted!
So the old folks like to say that Miley Cyrus is in the middle of some kind of drastic fall from grace because she keeps getting ink and new haircuts and getting engaged and possibly un-engaged. However, us young folks (well…younger folks at least) like to think that if we were barely in our twenties and had millions of dollars in the bank, we’d have died in some sort of bus full of strippers-related accident , so her going through a better funded version of everyone’s quarter-life crisis isn’t even kind of a big deal. The girl is clearly going through her punk rock phase, and there’s nothing wrong with that; her new tattoos also give us things to write about, so we’re nothing but happy with her. The artist formerly known as Hannah Montanna was recently spotted rocking her litle boy haircut and a grown woman piece of ink, and amidst rumors of her engagement dissolving, we’ve got some theories about it. The new tattoo was done by “LA Ink” star Kat Von D, and it’s a miniture rendition of Leonardo Di Vinci’s “Anatomical Heart”. It’s a very well done piece of work, that perfectly copies the original art (Kat Von D may have some personal problems, but the lady knows her needles), but it’s placement and meaning are a bit peculiar to us. We get that the heart is literally on her sleeve and we’re cool with that message, but what we don’t get is why she put it so close to her older Roman numeral piece. We’re unsure if they’re meant to function as one piece or not. If they are, then the nail has been cracked on the head, but if they’re not, then she should’ve considered her placement better. We also don’t know if the ink was done as a reaction her current emotional state, or whether it’s an overall statement on her attitude. If it’s the former, then we fear she might regret it a bit someday; we’ve all got at least one like that though, so really who are we to judge ? Like we said before, the new ink is very well done, and it joins a now large list of pieces on the starlet’s body. She already has the word “love” on her ear, some crossed arrows on her back, a bunch of little symbols on her fingers (cross, heart, peace, and equals signs to be exact), “just breathe” on her chest, and a FDR quote on her arm (it goes with a piece that Liam Hemsworth has). At this point, no new ink she come as a shock to anyone, but we’ll keep reporting on Miley’s forrays into body art, because that’s what we’re here for!
At this point, it should come as no surprise to any of you that Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has a new tattoo; afterall, she has a few already. What is kind of surprising though, is how meaningful her new ink is. The recently engaged pop star’s newest tattoo is on her left forearm, and features a quote from popular United States President Theodore Roosevelt (he’s the one with the mustache, not the one with polio), and it’s a good one. The quote reads “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.” If we remember our history, the full passage that the tat was taken from is about putting oneself out there and trying to succeed. We’d love to give her guff about the new piece, but we’re Amurikans! How could we not support a young lady getting the words of one of our most awesome of presidents etched on her skin? Good job Miley!
So that’s weird…yeah, that’s pretty much the best thing we can say about these images. You’re looking at the tattoos of a guy whose Twitter name is @MileyCyrusCarl, and he’s apparently such a big fan on ole’ Hannah Montana that he’s tattooed her name, likeness, autograph, and we think song lyrics (we refuse to do that kind of research) all over himself. What in the name of all that it creepy is wrong with this guy?! Is he a stalker that we should worry about? Or is he just so monumentally dense that he thinks that it’s normal for a grown man to get tattoos of a teen-pop idol all over his grown-man self? Did we mention that he has fifteen of them all together? That means he’s by all definitions “heavily tattooed” and it’s completely because of his love for Miley friggin’ Cyrus. Look, we could be wrong and this guy could be a saint that saves kitten from burning nun-factories, but if he ends up being a kook, we won’t be surprised. Also, that arm-ink looks like the girl from The Ring…so that’s weird too.
It’s hard not to find Miley Cyrus entertaining at this point. She says dumb things in public, dresses somewhat inappropriately in public, does lewd things because she thinks they’re funny, and gets tattoos that look a bit prison-y; yet she seems like a really nice kid, so it’s like watching your well intentioned hillbilly cousin win the lotto and act-a-fool. Her newest move was getting a sweet inner-biceps tattoo at Studio City Tattoo over the weekend. With her crew in tow and clad in her finest Van Halen t-shirt, Miley rolled up her sleeve and got “Love Never Dies” inked on her left arm. We don’t know the exact meaning of the new body-art; it could be a tribute to a fallen family/friend, or it could be a message about romance, but we can’t help but think it would be way more entertaining if it said “NASCAR never dies” with a little “#3” next to it.
Destiny Hope Cyrus, star of Hannah Montana and known today as Miley Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee. She’s the daughter of famous country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and has made a fortune since a very young age in TV and lately music. The beautiful actress, songwriter, and singer seem to have several tattoos plastered over her cute little body. Located on her right torso is a decent sized dream catcher. Appearing on her fingers are the tattoos of a small cross with a heart. Miley Cyrus also has the word “love” tattooed on her ear, and on her rib cage is the phrase “just breathe”. The tattoo “Just breathe” is an honorary memorial to one of her closet friends. Her friend died of cystic fibrosis. She has started out small but being this young we peg her for one of those gals that might get a full sleeve tat or a big back tattoo one day.
Wait a minute that skull is not what she really has there! Nice try though.
